Any book I read in 2 days is a winner in my book. I loved this book because there was absolutely no slow up in the pace of the story. I also hated all the criminals in the story which was a plus for me too. The author kept the story moving at a fast pace and I had trouble putting the book down I couldn't wait to read what was gonna happen next. I had to give this book 5 stars as it was truly one of the best books I've ever read. Grabs you from the start and doesn't let go until the final page. I would recommend rhis book to any fan of thrillers or crima drama. A must read from a great author!

Was hooked before I completed the "read inside"chapters,called my bf and said'you need to try this book,I'm turning pages as fast as I can". Loved I was wrong about the " ending". This story felt like reality,a bad reality,but ,yeah, that could happen. A fast paced story with characters you sympathize with and hope they make it out alive.....but will they? I do recommend this book " Brick".wow!
Third is one of the best thrillers I have read recently. The plot was appropriately complicated and involved. The evolving complications of a simple argument to the story's conclusion was great. The tale ended too soon and without enough details, hence the four rating instead of a five.
It scared me! Not many thrillers have me on the edge of my seat or wishing I could bite my nails but this one did for perhaps half of the book. I can't tell you why the feeling left me otherwise I'd be giving some of the story away but at that point, it stopped scaring me. It's a mean, gritty look at life I hope never to come across but could do with some editing, punctuation really.
This is not your typical British crime thriller. While it does have all of the usual aspects of one it has more. The characters are well deveoped and the plot takes more twists than you expect. I will adxmit to being surprised several era times along the way. As soon as I am done writing this I am going to begin the next book in the series. I hope there will be many more. This book is absolutely worth taking the time to read.
This book is a well conceived, very exciting page-turning novel. One plot after another! Will keep you up all night. Very difficult to put down. I just purchased Conrad's next book and can't wait to get into it. My new favorite author. Thanks Conrad for a few hours of great entertainment.
